Barry M Textured Glitter Nail Paint - Review

I thought that I would do this review now because I think that this nail polish would be great to wear on Christmas day. I brought this polish randomly really when I was out Christmas shopping with my sister. We were in Super drug and I saw a stand with some of the textured Barry M nail polishes and thought ‘I’m buying loads of presents other people so I’ll buy a present for me!’

Pros
  • You only need one coat of this varnish and that is it. I’ve had other glittery polishes and they’ve needed at least two coats to cover the nails in glitter.
  • It dries really quickly which is always good!
  • It’s really cheap! I think it was only about £4.00
  • IT'S GLITTERY
Cons
  • I’ve had to reapply the tips of my nails a couple of times however that happens with lots of polishes.
  • This isn’t really a con but more of a personal thing. I like how smooth my nails feel after I’ve painted them but because this is a glittery polish they’re rough. But If I put a top coat on then I’m sure they would be smooth.

Over all I would 100% recommend this nail varnish I think that it’s amazing!!!

Spain | Day 6

On day 6 we went to a water park so obviously I didn't talk any pictures, however I do have a great story to tell. When people have asked me in the past about my 'most embarrassing moment' I've never had anything to say, however this day at the water park provided me with the perfect story in response to that question...

I’d been on some of the scariest rides in the park with my Dad and sister so we decided to go on one of the calmer rides with my Mum as well. So we queued up for a water slide that was a simple strait down slide. There were four rows next to each other so my family lined up to race each other down to the bottom. Whilst I was at the top of the slide I noticed that the life guard at the bottom was absolutely gorgeous! He had an amazing six pack and his hair was amazing and everything about him was amazing. I was so glad I’d put my water proof mascara on and my favourite bikini on. So then I launched myself down the slide. The water started to spray all over my face then somehow my whole body twisted round so I was then going head first down the slide while struggling to breath. Then suddenly my bikini bottoms whipped off as I entered head first into the water! I was franticly trying to pull up my bottoms, trying to regain my breath. I came up to the surface after sorting my bikini bottoms and I think I got away with it, so I was walking confidently out of the pool (still mesmerised by the  life guard). Then as I walked out of the pool I looked down and found that my bikini top had slipped right down, and I was exposing myself to the world… I wanted the ground to swallow me up.

Spain | Day 5

We had a bit of a lie in on day 5 so we didn't do an awful lot. However we did make a quick trip to the beach, where I took lots of pictures. But sadly I can't show the majority of them because they could offend some people (I'll let your imagination go wild...) So here are a couple of pretty pictures I took.

I thought this sand castle was awesome!

After the beach we went to my Aunties who lives on a boat for dinner which was lovely.

Spain | Day 4

On Day 4 we went to Gibraltar which was so much fun! The last time that I went I was only 6 so I don’t remember much of it. However I do remember that the monkeys there were very badly behaved and were steeling everyone’s stuff, however they were well behaved this time I went. These are some of the pictures that I took of the day.

The big rock in the middle of the picture is Gibraltar and
at the top is where the monkeys live.

I took loads of pictures of the monkeys so here are a selection of the best.

Spain | Day 3

We spent the day at the beach with all the family. We found some sun loungers and had a sunbathe near old women trying to tan bits of their bodies that I really didn’t want to see (I’ll leave that to your imagination.) We also hired a peddle boat that was great fun however when I sat at the front the boat started to sink.

We can see the cool umbrellas again! This picture reminded me of an article in the daily mail where people had taken pictures of hot dog sausages together looking like legs, obviously these are my legs and not sausages.

We saw this this amazing thing where you put these shoes on and they shoot water out the bottom so you’re flying! Unfortunately I didn’t get a chance to have a go with them.

Spain | Day 2

On the second day we went to Puerto Banus which is one of the most posh places I’ve ever been to. Every corner we turned there was a Porsche, Ferrari or Lamborghini. I remember watching a Top Gear episode once and they did a challenge which was based around how many people stopped to take a picture of their cars. I thought that this was silly and that people were crazy for taking pictures of cars. However I found myself doing exactly the same thing walking along Puerto Banus  and I’m not even a big car person.

And there weren’t just fancy cars everywhere there were massive private boats in the harbour as well.

One of the Private boats we saw had a submarine, two jet skis and a helicopter pad on top! The people who owned it must  must have been loaded!!!

I also noticed this amazing dress in the shop window which cost around €10,000 (I’m going to have to save up my pocket money for a few more years and maybe get a job)

And lastly can we all take a minute quickly to admire the detailing on the shoes above, I’m not sure what occasion I would wear them for but they are amazing!

Spain | Day 1

I am really really really sorry that I haven't done a post for a few months now and I know that there is no excuse for it however I do have two excuses for it (I'll attempt to redeemed myself) Firstly I lost my camera charger which was a bummer because I had all my holiday photos on it but I finally got round to stealing my dad’s one so I now have a fully charged camera yey. Secondly I started sixth form this year and even though people warned me that there was going to be a lot of work, I underestimated what ‘a lot’ meant. Any way that’s my apology over so I can now explain the real reason that I am writing this post. In the summer holidays I went to Spain to see my family and I took lots of photos and had lots of fun so over the next couple of weeks am I’m going to share with you what I did.

*             *            *
Day 1

We started the day by going down to the beach and we tried calamari which is battered squid it sounds disgusting but it was actually ok!

The café we sat in had an amazing view! And there was a massive cruise ship on the sea. I also think that the umbrellas in the picture are so cool!

We then went for a walk in the sunshine and we saw this awesome house (wouldn’t mind living there)

We were staying at our Aunties house and she has two of the cutest dog the one above is called Jake and the one bellow is called Joey.

We didn’t do lots on the first day because we were a bit tired from getting up at ridiculous hour in the morning to catch the first flight.  But the weather was amazing! XX

Camping

I did write this post a few days ago when I was camping, however there was no wifi so its taken a while for me to get round to posting it.

*     *     *

I went campimg this weekend which was great fun (despite the rain) I took a few pictures on the first day to show everyone. We started by walking down to see old harry’s rocks where I managed to take some really good photos.

Looking at the photos I realise just how close to the edge I got!

I tested out the macro setting on my camera to take some pictures of flowers.

I like this picture because it shows how close my Dad got to the edge compared to all the other sensible people.

When we got back we had some chips (a rather large snack) and went crabbing, we managed to catch 23 crabs and 3 fish which was good.

I’d like to thank anyone that reads my blog I really appreciate it and it means a lot to me. XX

Liebster Award

I have been nominated for the Liebster award by Leyla from Leyla Writes which I am so grateful for, it was a while ago but I've finally got round to writing this post. I think Leyla's blog is really interesting and you should definitely check it out!

The rules are about the award:
1. Each nominee must answer the 11 questions that were asked by the blogger that nominated them and also tell their reader 11 facts about themselves.
2. You must choose other bloggers with under 200 followers to pass the award onto.
3. Then make 11 questions for them to answer.
4. Go to their page and tell them about their nomination.

These are my answers to the questions that Leyla asked her nominees:
1. What is your favourite childhood memory?
I have lots of great childhood memories but My favourite are all he times that me and my family went to stay in our flat in Devon and I remember my sister and I would wake up really early and my Gran would take us down to the sea front and we’d have an ice cream for breakfast.

2. What song sums up your mood right now?
High school musical-What time is it! Because even though I have been technically off school for about a month, now my Mum and sister are also on summer break now so it now really feels like the summer holidays, and that song is so cheery.

3. Who is your celebrity crush?
I have lost but my biggest crush is Channing tatum (I think that’s how you spell it) I’m in love with him! I think he’s amazing in all his films, especially Magic Mike *wink* *wink*

4. Summer or Winter?
Definitely winter, I’m no good in heat! And in the cold you can put on as many clothes as you like but I the heat there is only so many clothes you can take off until you’re walking around in public naked!

5. Where would your dream holiday be?
I think it would be really nice to visit Alaska in their summer (despite my answer to the last question) Just because I want to see if it really is light the whole time.

6. If you could be any celebrity for the day, who would you pick?
Justin Bieber, I’m not a super fan of him I would just like to see what it’s like being one of the most famous singers.

7. What is your favourite inspirational quote?
‘Dare to dream’ Because sometimes it’s scary to follow your dreams because you’re scared of failure but sometimes you just have to get over your fear and just go for it.

8. If you could change something about yourself, what would you change?
I’ve learnt over the years to be happy in your own skin but if I could change one thing it would be to be more confident because  I’m fine with people that I know but when it comes to meeting new people I can become shy.

9. What is your favourite colour?
Purple and green

10. What is your biggest fear?
Needles and I don’t know why because the majority of the time they don’t hurt but over the years my fear has become worse.

11. What made you want to start blogging?
I wanted to start because I follow bloggers like Zoella and Sprinkle of glitter and I thought that it looked like a lot of fun.

These are 11 random facts about me that you might not know:
1.  My favourite number is 32 because it can be halved down to 1 (32, 16, 8, 4, 2, 1)
2.  I always leave the best bit of my meal until last and it’s become a habit.

4.  I love chicken nuggets with Ketchup.
5.  I have kept a scrapbook since I was 3, and I’ve started a new one recently because the old one got too big.
6.  I listen to the radio while I sleep which is probably not good for my parent’s electricity bills!
7.  I love the smell of chlorine in the pool.
8.  The volume on the TV or radio has to be in the 5 or 2 times table, I feel uncomfortable if it’s not.

11. I am in love with leopard print clothing.

The people that I am nominating are:

30 Day Snap #30

Before I talk about my last picture I want to say that I loved doing this challenge, and thank you sprinkle of glitter for telling everyone about it. I did take a picture everyday in June which I was pleased with but I was very slow at posting them on the web.

I was on the way home from camping in this picture. There was limited space in the car so this was one of the only places I could fit my feet! I know It probably wasn't very safe for me to have my feet there but it was comfortable. I also really liked the socks I was wearing.

If you took part in The 30 Day Snap then I would love to see some of your pictures.

30 day snap #29

While camping our family walked Alfie around a pretty lake. I had a big glass of apple juice which was lovely. I like the sun shining through in this picture.

30 Day Snap #28

Today after my sister came home from school my family and I went camping. My Mum had organised a camping trip for our whole family so there were about 14 of us in total. The older children shared a tent and we managed to put up our tent together despite the strong wind. I took this picture while in the car, there wasn't much room in the car with the tents and everything, so Alfie had to sit on my Dad's lap and I thought that he looked really cute. XX

30 Day Snap #27

I've been looking forward to prom so much and it definitely didn't disappoint. My sister took a few pictures for me on my camera when I was dressed up and this one made me laugh, I'm no good at walking in heels and managed to almost fall over while standing still. My sister took the photo just as I was toppling over. Also today I had my first manicure at a salon which my friend bought me for my birthday. XX
If you are also taking part in The 30 Day Snap then I would love to see some of your pictures.

30 Day Snap #26

Its the day before prom today which I am so excited about. Today consisted of preparing myself for tomorrow which included; moisturising and tanning my body, removing my old nail varnish, painting my toe nails and doing a face mask. I also watched The Call Centre on catch up which was really good.

If you are also taking part in The 30 Day Snap then I would love to see some of your pictures.

30 Day Snap #25

Now that I have time to do things that I want I am going to do my Wreck This Journal over the summer holidays. I spent ages drawing circles to create this page and I'm proud of it, it wasn't what was in my mind when I started but it still took me ages and looks kind of cool. XX

30 Day Snap #24

Today was the last day that I will ever have to put my school uniform which is quite scary! I've now done my last exam for this year which is an amazing feeling! I am now free (until I start sixth form) SCHOOLS OUT SCREAM AND SHOUT! Finally summers here, I'm free to shop till I drop...
If you are also taking part in The 30 Day Snap then I would love to see some of your pictures.

30 Day Snap #23

While doing my revision today I looked out the window to see my sister cutting the grass to help my Dad out. The picture isn't the best of quality because I had to take it quickly and it was through a window. I'm not quite sure what happened but I do know that about half an hour after this picture was taken, my Dad had gone out to buy some replacement parts for the lawn mower.
.

If you are also taking part in The 30 Day Snap this I would love to see some of your pictures. XX

30 Day Snap #22

I spent the day laying in bed wrapped in my blanket revising physics which is a subject that I've never understood however still managed to get good grades in it.

If you are also taking part in The 30 Day Snap then I would love to see some of your pictures.

30 Day Snap #21

I went for a walk with my dog and for once remembered to take my camera, yey! I took loads of action shots with my dog running in the field but didn't realise how hard it is to take a picture of something thats moving. I now have countless pictures on my camera of grass with just Alfie's tail in the corner.

30 Day Snap #20

Today was the last day that I will probably ever have a pasta pot from my school canteen. It looks kind of gross in this picture but its actually really nice and its fueled me through the school days for the past 5 years I've been at secondary school. I am still going to stay on at this school next year to do my A levels but I will probably have a packed lunch.

If you are also taking part in The 30 Day Snap then would love to see some of your pictures. XX

30 Day Snap #19

MY PROM SHOES CAME THOUGH THE POST! I was so excited, they're silver and sparkly which goes with my purple dress. I was going to get some really high heels but then thought that it would be good I could walk without falling over. I've put the shoes at the top of my wardrobe so when I'm revising I can look up and see the shoes. My dress and bag are also hung up.

If you are also taking part in The 30 Day Snap then I would love to see some of your pictures.
